July invites us to reflect on our journey, cherish our growth, and set new intentions.

Can you believe we’re already midway through the year? Where did time go?

As July rolls in, it’s the perfect time for a little check-in to reflect on where you are, where you’ve been, and set new intentions on where we’re headed.

July has been a month of reflection and reassessment. It’s that point in the year where I take stock of my intentions I wrote down at the start of the year, and evaluate how far I’ve come since the beginning of the year.

Reflecting on Progress

Looking back on the past six months, I’m proud of the strides I’ve made. Professionally, I’ve tackled new challenges at work, enhancing my skills in risk management while reviewing all our policies. Personally, I’ve dedicated time to my health, reading more, write in my journal more, recommitted to consistently provide update on this space, and found deep fulfilment in spending more quality time with my family, which brings me immense joy.

It hasn’t all been smooth sailing. There were moments of doubt, hurdles to overcome, tough decisions to make and lessons to learn. But each challenge has been a stepping stone, pushing me to grow and evolve in ways I hadn’t imagined.

Looking Forward

As July unfolds, I’m excited about the possibilities ahead. I am excited to be sharing with you more on this space. I’m also focusing on the below in the next 6 months, but also enjoying the journey, embracing each day with gratitude.

  1. Self-Care Goals:
    • Incorporate daily self-care practices, such as mindfulness meditation by reading the bible to start my day, to promote mental and emotional well-being.
    • Schedule regular ‘me-time’ moments throughout the week for relaxation and rejuvenation, whether through reading, listening to music, or re watching my favourite movie.
  2. Reading Goals:
    • Read 10 books by the end of the year, choosing a mix of fiction, non-fiction, and genres that challenge and inspire me.
    • Set aside at least 30 minutes each day dedicated solely to reading, to foster a consistent reading habit.
  3. Social Goals:
    • Schedule regular outings with friends and family, aiming for at least one social activity per fortnight.
    • Explore new places and and trying new restaurants on our date nights.
  4. Fitness and Health Goals:
    • Establish a gym routine of at least 4 sessions per week.
    • maintain a balanced lifestyle by practicing mindfulness and relaxation techniques daily.
  5. Social Media and Visibility Goals:
    • Increase social media engagement by posting quality content at least 5 times per week across all platforms, aiming to spark meaningful conversations and interactions.
  6. Personal Growth and Exploration Goals:
    • Set aside one weekend every quarter for personal retreat or reflection, focusing on self-discovery and setting intentions for personal growth.
